Cancelled – Women of the Woods (WOW)

Cancelled – Tap into the serenity of a day filled with nature and the camaraderie of women. We will enjoy a leisurely two mile hike through the woods looking for signs of plants, animals, and the change of seasons. A catered, gourmet lunch will be shared on the historic Riggleman House porch, located on Jug Bay’s newest property Emory Waters Nature Preserve. Try your hand at fire starting or test your aim. Learn history and future plans for the property and enjoy interesting conversations. The program will finish with a leisurely two mile hike back to the visitor center.
We will meet at the Jug Bay Visitor Center located at 1361 Wrighton Road, Lothian. Please bring water, sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, and wear comfortable shoes. Some terrain will be uneven, however, most is easy to negotiate. Prompt program start time so please arrive by 9:15 am. Ages: 21 and older. Fee: $45. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Jug Bay.
