It is time to get ready for spring field trips and summer camps!
Share your love of nature with the next generation by becoming a Volunteer Naturalist at Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary. Volunteer Naturalists lead small groups of school age students through the wetland, woods, and stream during field trips and summer camps.
Field trips are during the school day, generally from 10 to 2 from late March to early June and September to early November. Volunteer at least a couple of times per month. You will get to see osprey, salamanders, birds, and frogs, and learn about this beautiful freshwater tidal ecosystem!
The season may look different and include more private and home school groups. All current and interested Volunteer Naturalists are encouraged to attend this course to refresh and learn. Attend our training to become a Volunteer Naturalist, shadow a field trip, and then jump in to help.
We will teach you everything you need to know about nature — you provide the enthusiasm! Join our community of nature enthusiasts! Small groups and safety procedures will be followed. For questions contact rpkemp00@aacounty.org or call 410-222-8006. FREE. Bring a COVID mask. Registration required.
