Join Audubon Naturalist Society Adult Education Director and Mycologist, Serenella Linares, in a visit to one of her favorite mushroom hunting spots: Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary. This site offers one of the most diverse macrofungi sites of the region, and it’s host to one of the most brilliant bioluminescent species of the Mid-Atlantic! Learn about the fungal relationships and natural phenomena associated with the fungi species at the site (loupes provided for the duration of the program). We will move at a very slow pace to observe and enjoy all the mushrooms popping up in the fungi-extravaganza season: fall. Ages 12 and up. Fee $10 per person, includes park admission. Current health guidelines and registration required.
