Citizen Data Science Workshop 4: Introduction to Ecology Statistics
Have a dataset you have no idea how to handle? Want to improve the design of your study? Simply just want to learn something new? Come to a Citizen Data Science Workshop! This is the fourth workshop in the six-part Citizen Data Science series, but you do not have to have attended prior workshops to attend this one. Attendance is recommended if you plan to join the Introduction to R workshop on June 7th. This workshop will introduce participants to a variety of statistical methods and foundations. This will be a very general overview – full understanding of many techniques can take extensive study! We will go over some very basic methods such as summary statistics, and introduce more advanced concepts like hypothesis testing and linear relationships. The focus of this workshop will be on understanding relationships between variables and how to make decisions on what methods are suitable for a data set. This workshop is free. Registration required. The link to the event will be sent out the day before the program. For questions call 410-222-8006 or email rpcoyn24@aacounty.org.
