This is a chance to contribute to one of our longest running research projects at the Sanctuary; the Eastern Box Turtle Habitat and Population Study. We are seeking volunteers who have an interest in learning how to operate our telemetry equipment and use it to locate up to four box turtles tagged with radio transmitters.  The turtles are located once per week, starting in April and continuing until the end of the activity season, usually mid to late November.  Volunteers commit to signing up for a minimum of one, four (4) hour shift per month, typically on the weekends.  The study provides data on our resident population of box turtles including home range size, nesting and overwintering timing and locations, longevity, and other demographic information.  Ages 18 and older only. Registration and current health guidelines required
