Group Service Projects

The Sanctuary has 3 primary goals that are incorporated into all that we do.

  • Education - Provide environmental education opportunities
  • Research - Conduct ecological research
  • Stewardship - Conserve Jug Bay’s unique ecosystem

Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary would love to host your groups service project. Projects are often seasonally based and include invasive plant removal, butterfly garden(s) maintenance, habitat monitoring, and river clean ups that can be either along the shore or by canoe.

Please fill out the Service Project Application and our staff will contact you to finalize details and confirm dates and times. 

*Maximum participants = 50 Land Based & 20 River Clean Ups & Habitat Monitoring  for most projects.  

Project Design will be age appropriate.

Larger groups may be accommodated Project Type (s).
