Beginning in 1985, staff naturalists, volunteers, students and researchers have surveyed and inventoried the biodiversity within the Sanctuary. As a result we have a good assessment of the diversity of our animals and plants. In addition to organized surveys concentrating on certain groups of organisms, we have also held two BioBlitzes (2007 & 2009) in order to expand our knowledge. The results of the first BioBlitz have been summarized in a report that can be downloaded. (Click BioBlitz Report).
