Many species of fish--including migratory fish and year-round residents--use the wetlands at Jug Bay for spawning, feeding, and shelter. Volunteers monitor the tidal Patuxent River and tributary creeks documenting the differences in fish species diversity and abundance.
If you are willing to hike, swim, wade in waist-high water, and handle fish, join us for our fish surveys. (print-friendly volunteer description)
